The Opinel No. 8 Outdoor offers a wide range of uses. The 2.5 mm thick blade is made of modified, rust-free Sandvik steel 12C27. The 3.5 cm wide partial sawtooth allows natural and synthetic ropes to be cut easily. Sailors will be happy about the shackle opener integrated into the blade. The Virobloc system securely locks the blade in the open and closed state. The handle in the typical Opinel design is made of a polyamide / fiberglass material that fits well and firmly in the hand even with wet hands. A signal whistle integrated in the handle and a plastic cord round off the extensive equipment.
